The importance of choosing the perfect color palette for your home

As an interior designer, I believe selecting the right color palette for your home is paramount. Colors have the power to evoke emotions, influence mood, and enhance the overall ambiance of a space. Do you like cool or warm tones? Have you ever noticed how some colors work well in synergy while others don’t?

Whether it's the calming effect of soft blues in a bedroom or the energizing vibe of vibrant yellows in a kitchen, each hue serves a purpose. Carefully curated color schemes can create harmony, balance, and cohesion throughout your home, reflecting your personality and style while ensuring a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for you and your guests to enjoy.

Working with colors in your home focuses on guiding you to a personal color scheme that will work with your existing furniture. If you decide to change certain furniture or accessories, you will know what colors work well together.

When we work together, we go through the following process.

First Meeting

We meet in your home, where we go through the house and your desires and dreams for how it should turn out. A consultation typically lasts about 2 hours, during which we move around a bit so I get the best overview of your home and personality.

Color Palette

After the consultation, I will work on a color chart, preparing the colors I believe are best to enhance your home and according to your wishes.

This phase usually takes about 1 hour.

Implementation

We will meet again at your place to discuss my suggestions on where and how you could implement those colors in your home or make any adjustments if needed.

This last step usually takes between 1.5 to 2 hours.

Pricing

Hourly rate - 1.200 kr.

We will agree on a set amount of hours before you commit to any proposal.

Hi, I’m Daniela Giusti

In 2021 my husband and I decided to take the plunge and establish ourselves in Denmark after living in Miami and New York. It gave me the opportunity to delve into Danish culture and learn more about Scandinavian design traditions.

I experienced that the Danish home decor market is often characterized by uniformity, where the same furniture designs, accessories, and styles are repeated. It gave me an urge to show Danes the many possibilities that lie beyond the country's borders and that can be combined with Danish design traditions.

The most important thing for me is to create homes that are right for those who will live in them. Homes that tell the story of those living there and where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand. I see myself as the guide or assistant who helps to see possibilities, visualize dreams, and make the right decisions.
